Lianyungang is the only golden near-sea inland area under limited development in the coastal regions of east China. By the sea and nearing the port, LETDZ owns a vast salina and tidal flat.

There are an area of about 76 square kilometers nearing the port equipped with well-developed infrastructure in the north part of the zone, and a heavy-industry development zone of 240 square kilometers distributed in Xuwei and Tainan salinas with its infrastructure facilities under overall construction, which can completely meet the land-use demands of varied projects.
